Summary

This measure will develop planning processes in order to enable and support a car independent lifestyle in the Kupittaa district.

Implementing sustainable mobility

A mobility node (combining bike-sharing, car-sharing, public transport and infotables) will be created and all year round seamless cycling and walking connections will be implemented. The University Campus located in the Kupittaa district will benefit greatly from the new mobility solutions to be introduced. In addition, smart mobility will become part of the city communication, marketing and branding. A smooth travel chain with the region and the TEN-T corridor will be supported.
