About the project

Through co-creation activities and innovative digital tools, the AMIGOS project will identify present and future mobility challenges in five Living Lab cities and ten Urban Areas, known as 'Safety Improvement Areas'.

The digital tools will allow for the collection of new mobility data and will feed a big data platform that will allow for the analysis and production of digital twins capable of visualising mobility scenarios. These tools will allow urban stakeholders to identify mobility challenges, which will serve the co-development of adapted mobility solutions. Mobility solutions will focus on reducing traffic, increasing public and active mobility modes, improving safety and multimodality in the fifteen cities identified.

Key stakeholders, such as public authorities and vulnerable users, will be included in the identification and definition of policies and technological adaptations, as outlined in the mobility solutions. The environmental, safety, economic and social impacts of the mobility solutions will be assessed, as well as their replicability.
