Summary

Within this measure the City of Turku and the Regional Council of Southwest Finland will develop new planning approaches and test the possibilities made available by new technologies and social networks (mobile apps, social media) for interactive and participatory planning.

Implementing sustainable mobility

Supported by new approaches and technologies, Turku commits a case study to test and utilize the developed co-operation model and new technologies to enhance smart inter-modal solutions in public transport planning, particularly park and ride, in the Turku region. The City of Turku and the Regional Council of Southwest Finland will also develop and establish a mobility barometer to increase knowledge of citizens’ satisfaction of sustainable mobility infrastructure and mobility services.
