CIVITAS DESTINATIONS: Elba Site Visit and Living Lab Sessions

Belgium

Other

From 9-10 April 2019, the CIVITAS DESTINATIONS project is organising a site visit to and sessions in the Living Lab of the city of Portoferraio on the island of Elba (Italy).

As part of DESTINATIONS, Portoferraio and cities from five other countries around Europe work on solutions aimed at improving sustainable urban mobility in touristic cities and regions.

During the site visit, the island's Shared Mobility Agency will provide insight into the innovative technologies they are developing for public transport. In particular, they will focus on the ride sharing platform being designed and realised under CIVITAS DESTINATIONS, as well as new technologies and the Business Intelligence module for public transport data collection, system certification, and service Key Performance Indicator evaluation.

Alongside this, city representatives and mobility practitioners are invited to attend a series of sessions and technical workshops in Portoferraio and Rio Marina, the other city on Elba participating in DESTINATONS.

They will focus on on e-mobility and solutions implemented with the active engagement of hoteliers and other stakeholders in the tourism sector of the island.

The draft programme will be available soon. Please note that no financial support can be provided for participants to attend.
