Summary

AI-driven platform for real-time monitoring and forecasting in last-mile logistics, enabling smarter coordination and sustainable urban deliveries. The Digital Control Tower, developed by Netcompany and Frontier Innovations within the EU-funded GREEN-LOG project, is an integrated platform designed to tackle the challenges of urban last-mile logistics driven by the growth of e-commerce. The solution enables realtime monitoring of delivery assets, near real-time forecasting of transport demand and traffic conditions, and advanced data-driven analytics to support efficient urban deliveries.

Powered by AI-based predictive models, dynamic multimodal routing and Logistics-as-a-Service marketplace metrics, it enhances situational awareness and operational coordination for logistics providers and city authorities. Co-created with municipalities, logistics companies and research partners, including the Municipality of Athens during the Living Lab phase, the platform is being demonstrated across Athens, Barcelona and Flanders, showcasing its
potential to deliver smarter and more sustainable urban logistics management.

Good Example

The Digital Control Tower's good practice examples stem from the GREEN-LOG project's Living Labs. In the Municipality of Athens, it was co-created to enhance situational awareness and operational coordination for urban deliveries. It is also being demonstrated in Barcelona to showcase its potential for smarter and more sustainable urban logistics and in Flanders to manage last-mile logistics within a specific regional context.
