Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, is renowned for its commitment to sustainable mobility and transport. The city has set ambitious goals to reduce carbon emissions, aiming to eliminate fossil-fuel transportation by 2030.

To support this transition, Amsterdam is expanding its electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, planning to increase the number of charging points from 9,600 in 2020 to over 80,000 by 2030. In addition to promoting EVs, Amsterdam has implemented measures to restrict petrol and diesel vehicles from entering the city center starting in 2030. Non-electric buses have already been prohibited from the city center since 2022, and the municipality is actively greening its own vehicle fleet.
