New cycle racks at Roundabout Nursery and Brighton Study Centre

CIVITAS Initiative

New cycle racks at Roundabout Children’s Centre and Nursery and Brighton Study Centre in Brighton are encouraging more employees to bike to work.

Brighton & Hove City Council’s travel plan partnership secured funding from the European CIVITAS scheme to improve on-site cycling storage for the Roundabout Nursery and Brighton Study Centre after surveys showed staff would cycle more if they had better storage facilities. The cycle racks provide more choice for the commuter by making it easier for staff in local companies to use different types of transport. Staff at the organisations said “We’re delighted with the help and encouragement the city council has given us to expand cycle storage facilities for our staff. We are looking forward to using our bikes more in the coming months.”
