The European Partnership on Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM), together with the CCAM Association, is calling on cities and regions across Europe to express their interest in a new Cooperation Working Arrangement. This initiative aims to foster closer collaboration between public authorities and the CCAM community, supporting the integration of CCAM solutions into urban transport systems and helping cities reach their goals for safer, more sustainable, and inclusive mobility.

Why get involved?

The CIVITAS Initiative strongly supports efforts that bring innovation and real-world application together in urban areas. As cities across Europe work to modernise their mobility systems, this new opportunity offers a chance to pilot and scale CCAM solutions in ways that directly respond to urban needs. Through this collaboration, participating authorities will have the chance to contribute to the development of technical requirements and governance models, inform EU policy and funding priorities, and shape how new mobility technologies are deployed at city scale.

By collaborating with the CCAM Partnership, cities can expect to benefit from increased support in implementing scalable pilot projects, improved integration of CCAM into existing transport networks, and measure enhanced impact based on efficiency, safety, environment and social acceptance. While providing CCAM stakeholders with opportunities to pilot and scale solutions resulting from funded projects in the urban context.

Criteria to apply:

The call is open to city governments looking to implement smart mobility solutions and regional authorities interested in aligning their development funds for CCAM to Horizon Europe calls.
