Águeda (Portugal)
The municipality and town of Águeda is located just south of Porto, in the district of Aveiro. It is an important commercial and industrial centre, recognised across Portugal as a destination for seafood cuisine and vibrant festivals. The city is well-known as being home to the Pateira de Fermentelos - the largest natural lagoon on the Iberian Peninsula.
Águeda’s Mobility Strategy sees an increased focus on awareness raising and promotional activities. Encouraging public and active transportation solutions over private solutions, as well as general promotion of sustainable mobility through campaigns and awards are outlined in the Strategy.
