About the project

ASSURED-UAM aims to assure the safety, sustainability and acceptability of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) by embedding aviation best practices, recommendations and organizational solutions in city administrative structures.

The project will provide comprehensive organisational and policy support for authorities, policy makers and urban industry organizations in the complex process of implementing vertical transport into urban and peri-urban mobility systems. It will provide recommendations for the integration of surface modes under the U-Space Air Traffic Management System, regarding the introduction of unmanned urban air mobility.

Following a 5,10, and 15-year timeframe, the project will consider the scenarios of 10 cases and subsequently develop product standards, learning tools and project tecnical assistance. Policy recommendations will be created in eight languages.

ASSURED-UAM earns its name from 'Acceptance, Safety and Sustainability Recommendations for Efficient Deployment of Urban Air Mobility'.
