Registration opens and programme released for CIVITAS Living Labs' Final Event

Busy train station

As the three CIVITAS Living Lab projects – CIVITAS DESTINATIONS, CIVITAS ECCENTRIC and CIVITAS PORTIS - draw to a close, they are holding a final joint online conference to reveal their exciting results.

Join from 6-20 October 2020 to discover the 175 sustainable urban mobility solutions they have tested and demonstrated in 16 European cities over the past four years.

The event will have a particular focus on:

  • Touristic cities developing sustainable mobility measures for both tourists and residents alike (CIVITAS DESTINATIONS);
  • European cities fostering sustainable mobility in peripheral areas, as well as testing innovative urban freight solutions (CIVITAS ECCENTRIC); and,
  • European port cities (CIVITAS PORTIS).

A varied programme will provide insight into the projects’ achievements, lessons learnt and many successes: three live sessions sit at the heart of this. These are being held on 6 October, 13 October, and 20 October, and each will feature input from all three projects.

The first session, which is taking place on Tuesday 6 October, 14:30 – 16:30 CEST, will be opened by Matthew Baldwin, Deputy Director-General at DG MOVE, and Octavia Stepan, Project Officer at INEA. Following this, the three project coordinators will give attendees an overview of their respective projects and their main accomplishments.

Between these sessions, daily releases of inspirational material offer the perfect opportunity for immersion in the 16 Living Lab cities. A mixture of presentations, publications and videos will illustrate and explain their mobility work.
