CIVITAS Forum 2026: Call for Speakers and Registrations Now Open

The CIVITAS Forum returns in 2026 with its flagship three-day conference bringing together Europe’s urban mobility community. Since its creation in 2003, the CIVITAS Forum has served as a key platform for cities, policymakers, practitioners, researchers and innovators to exchange ideas, showcase solutions and build partnerships that accelerate the transition to sustainable urban mobility.
The CIVITAS Forum 2026 will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 15–17 September 2026. This year’s edition will explore how cities can build on their mobility history while embracing innovation under the theme: “Roots & Routes: Moving Forward to Competitive, Connected and Resilient Urban Mobility.”
Typically attracting hundreds of participants from across Europe and beyond, the conference offers a unique opportunity to share experiences, discover new approaches and connect with key actors shaping the future of urban mobility.
Call for Speakers
Applications are now open for those interested in contributing their knowledge, tools, solutions and experiences to the programme. Proposed contributions should align with the Forum theme and one of the three umbrella topics:
- Competitive Urban Mobility – strengthening innovation, funding, partnerships and workforce development in urban mobility systems
- Connected Urban Mobility – advancing shared mobility, digitalisation, data-driven transport and city-region connectivity
- Resilient Urban Mobility – promoting inclusive, safe and climate-resilient mobility solutions for cities
As in previous editions, sessions should encourage interactive discussion, knowledge exchange and collaboration among participants.
