SMARTMOBAIR: Advancing Smart and Sustainable Mobility in CIVITAS Cities

The SMARTMOBAIR project, of which CIVINET Greece–Cyprus is a partner, aims to address challenges such as traffic congestion and air pollution in six pilot territories in the Adriatic–Ionian region. 

The project has recently published its first peer-reviewed paper, “Participatory Technology Gap Assessment for Smart Mobility: Evidence from Six Pilot Territories”, presenting an innovative methodology for assessing the readiness of six CIVITAS Cities’ to deploy Intelligent Transport Systems.

The study draws evidence from pilot territories including Rethymno (Greece), Niš (Serbia), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Gorizia (Italy), and Shkodra (Albania).
