School Exchange Program attracts students in Ljubljana

CIVITAS Initiative

CIVITAS ELAN cities are planning to carry out School Exchange Program, entitled “ELAN Youth On The Move”. Its purpose is to share knowledge and experience on sustainable mobility between high school students in all five cities.

Eight students, aged from 15-17, with two teachers from each city, accompanied by Site Dissemination Managers, will travel to Brno for four days in May 2011. The ELAN team in Ljubljana decided to have a special selection process for students that will participate at the meeting. The team organised a special competition: all high schools in the city (32) were invited to join the competition by producing anything that is linked to sustainable mobility, whether it is art work, an audio-visual product, a song, a play, a performance, a poster etc.Ten groups of students responded to the public tender and have until 21 March 2011 to submit their projects to be evaluated by the CIVITAS ELAN commission. The authors of the winning project will be rewarded with a trip to Brno.
