Some topics can’t be mastered in a day. They require time, structure, and practical engagement. That’s where CIVITAS Deep Dives come in — a guided learning journey designed to help urban mobility professionals and students gain in-depth expertise through a series of focused sessions.

These topics reflect current challenges in the sector, shaped by findings from the CIVITAS European Urban Mobility Labour Market Research.
What’s the Deep Dive format?
Each Deep Dive consists of five sessions:
- 3 online sessions
- 1 in-person session at Urban Mobility Days 2025 in Vilnius, Lithuania
- 1 online evaluation session held two months later
To complete the programme and earn a certificate, participants must attend the three online sessions and the in-person event - the online evaluation session is a bonus!
Hands-on learning
Between sessions, participants work on a real-life urban mobility challenge from their own city, gradually developing a tailored action plan using the knowledge gained. Assignments, videos, case studies, and practical exercises support this work.
Each session follows the Absorb – Do – Connect learning model, ensuring that knowledge isn’t just absorbed, but actively applied in real-world settings.
Who can join?
Urban mobility professionals and students from European universities or universities of applied sciences. All sessions are held in English.
