Local and Regional Transport in EU Candidate Countries.Solutions and Opportunities for Sustainable Urban Transport PlanningThis Seminar offered all cities and transport operators a unique opportunity to listen to the latest information about European funding opportunities for urban transport projects and sustainable urban transport planning. Representatives from European institutions, pioneering cities, as well as transport professionals from across Europe contributed. Participants had the opportunity to learn about European urban transport research with a special focus on future opportunities for the new CIVITAS Programme for Romanian cities. The seminar also included presentations on structural funding for urban transportThe purpose of this seminar was to present existing and future opportunities for urban transport projects offered by the European Commission Programmes and to overview the state of the art in sustainable urban transport planning in Europe.
