POLIS Conference 2024
Conference
The POLIS Conference 2024—a joint event by POLIS, Baden-Württemberg, the City of Karlsruhe, and Messe Karlsruhe—will take place on 27-28 November in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The annual conference is one of Europe’s leading sustainable urban mobility events, providing an opportunity for cities and regions to showcase their transport achievements to a large audience of mobility experts, practitioners, and decision-makers from both the public and private sectors. This year, the conference will feature 32 insightful sessions and 2 thought-provoking plenaries.
CIVITAS' New Mobility Services Community will host a parallel session, titled, 'Upscaling and fast-tracking: from smart to smarter cities', on 28 November, 9:00-11:15, which will then be expanded upon later in the day, from 14:00-16:00.
The session will focus on the innovative use of scale-ups to create impact in cities, considering particularly the barriers to successful collaboration between cities and scale-ups.
Following sessions at the CIVITAS Forum 2024, Tomorrow.Mobility 2024 and more, this final event on the New Mobility Services Community calendar for 2024 will conclude with some key reflections and inspiration for further action in 2025. Attendees can expect a dynamic and interactive session, including a range of speakers from across the sustainable urban mobility sphere. Short plenary pitches will be combined with break-out tables that will allow participants to further explore topics.
Speakers include:
Pedro Homem de Gouveia, POLIS
Yann Simon, EIT Urban Mobility
Margriet van Schijndel, EAISI / Eindhoven University of Technology
