The city of Funchal promoted, between 16 and 22 September, a series of events related to the sustainable mobility theme. It is the first time that the city associated to European Mobility Week, whose objective is to sensitize citizens to pollution problems.With these actions, the City Hall intended to transmit a message to all citizens, concerning the importance to adopt a less aggressive behaviour towards the environment, such as using with more frequency the public transports and pedestrian mobility in short pathways. Also, a minor use of the private and individual transportation.This week also intended to promote the CIVITAS MIMOSA Project, in particular, with an exhibition and a conference about electric vehicles and the activation of a new public transportation track: “Green Line”. These events wereintegrated in the measures Project.
