International Symposium on Transportation in Emerging Countries

The Transportation Research Institute (IMOB) at Hasselt University, a member of the CIVITAS Educational Network, warmly invites the CIVITAS community to the International Symposium on Transportation in Emerging Countries (ISTEC). The ISTEC aims to connect academics, research scholars, students, alumni and practitioners from the traffic safety and transportation field, to exchange and share their experiences and research results on the topic of “Traffic Safety and Transportation in the Global South”.

ISTEC 2022 will take place online via a virtual conference platform on Thursday, 20 October 2022 from 9:00–17:00 CEST. The online platform offers innovative ways to network and interact. Contributors and participants will receive the necessary guidelines and information for how to take advantage of these feature.

Call for abstracts

ISTEC 2022 provides an interdisciplinary platform to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, practical challenges and solutions in traffic safety and transportation. All are invited to submit an abstract for presentation at ISTEC 2022 – do so by visiting: https://istec2022.com/index.php/call-for-abstracts. The deadline to submit an abstract is 12 September.
 

The ISTEC is being organised this year by the Transportation Research Institute (IMOB) at Hasselt University and supported by VLIR UOS in the context of the “Traffic Safety in Low & Middle Income Countries” project.
