In measure 4.1 - Awareness campaigns, FunchalĀ“s City Hall promoted an orienteering contest for the general public in the old part of the city.This initiative aimed to promote sustainable mobility, using cleaner transport and public transport. With increasing traffic, it is also important to change habits and improve other forms of active mobility such as walking. This campaign also aimed at disseminating, to participants, the reasons for choosing ecological transport, and its benefits in several domains, such as economy, social and health. However, mobility is a social responsibility for all of us, in which it is important that all citizens contribute, so that the city can achieve a life-style that conforms to the principles of sustainable mobility.
