CIVITAS ELAN at the European Mobility Week 2010 (16 - 22 September)European Mobility Week is an initiative which is being held since 2002 in many European cities. The aim of this initiative is to encourage people in cities to use public transport and bicycles and to walk to their desired destination. The main topics of this year's European Mobility Week 2010 are health and mobility and the central theme is Travel smarter, live better.CIVITAS ELAN day was marked on 18 September. - ViÅ¡nja Jelić -Mück presented recommendations and remarks from citizens made at the CIVITAS ELAN Info point, and a conversation about the project's challenges followed.
11:00 - 11:30 Award ceremony for the photo contest Travel smarter, live better
- ODRAZ - Sustainable Community Development organized the photo contest Travel smarter, live better in which 20 contributors sent 44 images. The first three winners were awarded.
11:30 - 12:00 The public bicycle system , presentation and conversation, associations Bicycle and ODRAZ
- One of the activities of the CIVITAS ELAN project is the promotion of the public bicycle system. The presentation was held by Damir Å irola, the discussion was led by Marina Koprivnjak.
12:00 - 13:30 Promotional ride on bicycles through the CIVITAS ELAN corridor
- Interested citizens and journalists had the opportunity to participate in a promotional ride through the CIVITAS ELAN corridor (Savska street). ODRAZ provided free bicycles and Damir Å irola lead the route.
