Verviers (Belgium)

Verviers is a city of 53,600 inhabitants, located in the Belgian province of Liège. With its extended agglomeration, Verviers is the second biggest town in the province and an important regional center, located halfway between Liège and the German border. The city pays attention on forming sustainable urban transport system.

Verviers is famous for its wool and textile industry and is an important part of the “wool capital of the world”.

Currently there is no data readily available on modal split, and negligible data is available via the most readily accessible sources concerning urban mobility measures or plans, challenges facing progress in this regard and partnerships undertaken to this end.

We hope to provide more information about the city in the future.
