Amorgos Limnos has 16,992 inhabitants and is located on Lemnos island in the northern part of the Aegean Sea. The present municipality of Lemnos was formed following the merger of four former municipalities (each of which became municipal units) following local government reforms in 2011. The municipalities were Atsiki, Moudros, Myrina, and Nea Koutali.
