Kalamariá (in Greek: Καλαμαριά) is a municipality found within the Thessaloniki Urban Area, located about 7 kilometres southeast of downtown Thessaloniki. With a population of 91,279, it is the second largest municipality in the Urban Area, as well as one of the largest in Greece. It is a partner city in the CIVITAS SUITS project, one of three CIVITAS Horizon 2020-funded research projects that focuses on sustainable urban mobility plans.
