Gdansk (Poland)

GdaƄsk, a vibrant city on the Baltic coast of Poland, is committed to creating a more sustainable and accessible urban mobility system. With a population of approximately 486,492 and an area of 683 kmÂČ, GdaƄsk's diverse topography, including lower and upper terraces, presents unique challenges for mobility planning. The city’s extensive mobility infrastructure includes over 850 km of cycling lanes and the MEVO bike-sharing system, which offers 4,200 bikes across 742 stations. Public transport in GdaƄsk is managed by ZTM GdaƄsk, with a network of buses and trams that serve the city's diverse neighborhoods. In addition, GdaƄsk is exploring innovative mobility solutions such as autonomous buses and is actively participating in initiatives like Sohjoa Last Mile to improve first/last-mile connectivity.
