Zagreb for alternative mobility!

European Mobility Week started off  successfully on Friday, 16 September on Cvjetni  Square in downtown Zagreb. One of the highlights so far was the award ceremony of the CIVITAS ELAN photo contest.

Three photos were chosen by the jury of the photo contest “Mobility in my neighbourhood”.  The main idea behind the contest organised by ODRAZ for the second year in a row now was to engage citizens with the mobility situation in their neighbourhood. All pictures entered for the contest were displayed in an exhibition at the prestigious CroArtPhotoClub on Gajeva Street. Citizens will be able to visit the exhibition throughout the Mobility Week. Ms Jelena Pavičić Vukičević, Deputy Mayor of Zagreb announced this year's activities  during a press conference. They include two round tables - one covering themes related to EU projects and sustainable mobility and one focusing on topics related to alternative mobility and best practice examples in Zagreb. Zagreb is especially looking forward to the bicylce tour “Zagrebačka žbica” on 22 September. Among the participating teams will of course also be a CIVITAS ELAN team that is made up of students from Zagreb University Faculty of Transport. Go CIVITAS ELAN Zagreb!
