CIVITAS Initiative

The report on the survey looking on Europeans’ attitudes towards urban mobility has been published on December 17.

The survey was designed to look at Europeans':

 - Transport habits;

 - Experience of transport problems in EU cities;

 - Opinions of measures to improve travel within cities;

 - Expectations for traffic improvements within cities and their opinions of who is responsible for these improvements.

This survey was conducted by TNS Opinion & Social network at the request of the EC Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) and coordinated by the DG for Communication. It was carried out between 24 May and 9 June 2013 in the 28 Member States of the European Union. Some 27.680 European respondents, representative of different social and demographic groups, were interviewed face-to-face at home in their mother tongue on behalf of the DG MOVE.
