Technical measures making a difference in Brescia

CIVITAS Initiative

From bicycle-lanes vertical and horizontal markings, to more efficient car-sharing systems, MODERN recently implemented a series of technical measures in Brescia.

The construction of the photovoltaic plant dedicated to “environmental buses” has been implemented due to price-reduction of the PV-modules. The new modules increase the peak power to 76,8 Kw. Earlier this year, it was decided to purchase the following configuration to stretch the maximum total power of 125.000 Kw:4 inverter “Refusol” 17K, 384 PV modules “Heckert Solar PXL 200”.Recently, a new accident-risk analysis map was tested for the elaboration of the PSSU (Urban Road Safety Plan). Some areas are currently testing the new high-tech methodology; it is likely that this technology will be extended to the rest of the road trunks.
