Sustainable Mobility Week in Brescia

CIVITAS Initiative

The Municipality of Brescia has decided to join, as in the past years, the Sustainable Mobility Week promoted by the EU. The programme includes several events, with themes ranging from the development of bike paths, to free public transports, ecological vehicles exhibition and initiatives to raise citizens' awareness about sustainable mobility, rediscovery of the city and incentives to use sustainable alternatives to cars.

Among these initiatives, the CIVITAS project, its goals and the merasures that Brescia is implementing will be presented. In particular, Brescia Municipality and Brescia Trasporti will launch a dual language booklet outlining the measures in progress and a leaflet that summarises all the initiatives. The presence of CIVITAS will be emphasized by a day dedicated to a measure in particular: Brescia Mobile Channel. The programme will see an open conference for citizens on the morning of 21 September, with the presentation of CIVITAS projects and a deep Brescia Mobile Channel measure focus. In the afternoon a system prototyping demonstration will follow. Within the week, the award ceremony of Parole in Corsa (Running Words) will also take place. The competition has been launched under the CIVITAS measure Communication and Education Campaign.
