Sustainable Energy Week 2013

CIVITAS Initiative

A new call for sustainable urban mobility awards has just been announced. If your city is implementing an innovative project fostering sustainable modes of transport, then the TRAVELLING category of the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards is for you!

The CIVITAS Initiative and the EU Sustainable Energy Week Secretariat invite you to submit a project to the Sustainable Energy Europe and ManagEnergy Awards 2013. Local authorities are crucial in meeting the EU energy and climate objectives. They also represent the most suitable political level to develop new scenarios and innovative solutions to decrease carbon emissions in urban areas. The TRAVELLING category of the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards has been designed to reward initiatives—public or private—whose goals are to raise awareness and increase the availability of clean mobility solutions for the daily use of citizens. If you are keen to share your experience while raising the profile of your city, organisation or company, we strongly encourage you to participate in the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards 2013. Your efforts and achievements will receive institutional recognition and free communication leading to large visibility and media exposure. Please note that projects from regional and local authorities, including energy agencies, will be automatically considered for the ManagEnergy Local Energy Action Award in addition to the SEE category for which they apply. So, a single application for two award competitions? It is as good as it sounds! Apply now or find out about the four other award categories! Deadline for submissions is 8 March 2013.
