The Fluidification of Urban Traffic workshop took place in Brescia on 25 June. With the support of CIVITAS, the workshop gathered stakeholders of CIVITAS, political representatives and engineers to review the actions the city has already undertaken.
The “Fluidification of Urban Traffic Workshop” was dedicated to the stakeholders of CIVITAS for the city of Brescia and composed of a large number of subjects, from State Police to the Medical Assistance Unit through the University and mobility managers of the largest companies. The workshop was the first opportunity for feedback and to review the actions taken. It was also an occasion to present the CIVITAS Plus Project, which Brescia has received 2,4 million euros from. Luigi Sardi (MODERN / CORE) has stressed the importance of the project at a European level, drawing attention to the fundamental contribution of events like today's session. Giandomenico Gangi (MODERN / Site Coordinator Brescia) described the activities, saying that 13 out of 14 measures funded are in action. The event was an excellent showcase for CIVITAS and the project has now reached all the stakeholders at local level. The presence of political representatives and engineers involved in transport has allowed the initiative to reach every interested and influential stakeholder.
