Showcase your city’s sustainable transport efforts with the CIVITAS Awards

CIVITAS Initiative

The CIVITAS Secretariat hereby invites CIVITAS Forum cities to apply for the 8th annual CIVITAS Awards competition. The CIVITAS Award is an integral part of the CIVITAS Initiative that provides an invaluable opportunity to highlight the successes of the most outstanding, ambitious and innovative activities in the field of sustainable urban mobility.

For more information regarding the rules and categories, please visit the CIVITAS Award page. Through the Award, examples of progressive sustainable urban mobility policy making and implementation are showcased and promoted to the press. This in turn inspires other cities and provides models to guide and stimulate the further development of sustainable mobility initiatives in Europe. To see your commitment and efforts recognized at European level and be rewarded by the Vice President of the European Commission and Transport Commissioner, Siim Kallas during its prestigious ceremony, hosted this year in Funchal, Portugal, join the CIVITAS Award competition now and become an ambassador of European excellence in sustainable mobility. The award ceremony takes place during the CIVITAS Forum Network’s annual conference, which takes place this year between 17-19th October. The CIVITAS Award is open to all cities that have signed the CIVITAS declaration and are a member of the CIVITAS Forum Network. If your city is not a Forum member yet, please complete and sign the CIVITAS Forum Declaration. The Award incorporates three categories which are all open for CIVITAS Forum Network members. To apply for one or more of the Awards, please proceed to the CIVITAS Award page and download the application forms. Deadline for submission: 9th September 2011 We look forward to receiving your application(s)!
