Photo contest: Mobility in my city
It is a well established CIVITAS ELAN tradition in Zagreb to have a photo competition during European Mobility Week. Everybody involved in this year's event agreed: The photo contest was a complete success!
For the third year in a row, ODRAZ – Sustainable Community Development, in charge of dissemination activities for the CIVITAS ELAN project in Zagreb, had the pleasure of receiving many high quality photographs sent in by participants in this year`s CIVITAS ELAN photo contest „Mobility in my city“. The idea of the contest was to take a look at urban mobility in Zagreb from citizens' point of view who commute every day. They are likely to have something to say on the matter and have views on what needs improvement and what is working well. The jury of renown Croatian journalists and professional photographers had an ungrateful and the difficult task of picking the best three photographs among hundreds of entries. The award ceremony took place within European Mobility Week in front of Zagreb's old tram, the CIVITAS ELAN info point, where the the Mayor of Zagreb Milan Bandić awarded the lucky winners. The winning photographs as well as some of the others that caught the jury's eye, can be seen here! Once more, the best photograph was once more a bicycle!
