Mobility adjustments in the Hospital de São João area
In the context of the measure “Participatory plans for new inter-modal interchange”, the frontal area Hospital São João, located inside the CIVITAS ELAN area, which nowadays is used as a transport interchange for several modes of transport, will soon be improved.
This comes as a result of the understanding between local institutions and the city’s CIVITAS partners. The project concerns the reorganization of bus stops and public space, pedestrian safety improvements and illegal parking specific measures.Although being far from the main objective of the measure, the achieved level of cooperation and understanding is seen as a very positive first step aiming at the development of the future interchange.
