The latest issue of MOVE, the CIVITAS Initiative’s quarterly newsletter, is once more an essential read for all those with an interest in sustainable urban mobility. The seventh edition of MOVE takes a close look at Mobility Management. Guest author Tom Rye, professor of Transport and Mobility Management at Edinburgh Napier University draws on the experience of CIVITAS cities Brighton & Hove, UK and Nantes, France to explain what it takes to make company mobility management a reality.

This issue’s city news presents the ambitious eco-driving training of bus drivers in the Estonian capital Tallinn, a biodiesel bus trial in Coimbra, Portugal, and the trial of a cycling web portal with interactive maps in the Czech city of Usti nad Labem. In Italy, Perugia set up electronic gates to enforce its traffic control system. A report from Iasi, Romania, describes the first initiative in the region to make public transport accessible for people with disabilities. The city news is rounded off with a report on how the Croatian capital Zagreb is engaging senior citizens in transport planning.A special spotlight is thrown on Vitoria-Gasteiz in the city in profile section. The capital of the autonomous community of the Basque Country is attracting more and more international attention for its leadership role in sustainable mobility.
