INCLUSION: accessible and inclusive transport approaches for European cities and regions
INCLUSON is a Horizon 2020-funded project that looks at how collective public transport can become more accessible and inclusive for vulnerable user groups living both in urban and remote rural areas across Europe.
As part of the project, innovative solutions will be tested and validated through real-life experiments in the six INCLUSION Pilot Labs in Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain and the UK.
One year after it kicked-off in Genoa (Italy), the project is in full swing. Over the last few months, each Pilot Lab has been focusing on analysing the local context, identifying vulnerable user groups within their local Pilot areas, and deteermining the needs and requirements of these user groups.
The project’s activities are followed and monitored by the INCLUSION stakeholder forum, a board of experts who meet twice a year to provide strategic advice and give input and recommendations on selected topics of the project.
In the coming months, INCLUSION will issue a catalogue of 51 case studies from across Europe with that will identify patterns for transferability and shed light on what is possible for inclusive mobility.
