Implementing and monitoring car sharing service in Monza

CIVITAS Initiative

In 2009, the Municipality of Monza worked hard on the implementation and dissemination of the car-sharing service in the city. In order to improve and increase its use, a focus group was set up in December.

The group was made up with users and some employees of the Municipality who normally use car sharing for their job. These employees are also in charge of the management of the signals and complaints made by the users of the service. Many issues were analysed, such as the efficiency of the call centre, the availability of vehicles, their maintenance, etc. When considering the positive and negative aspects of the current service and what could be useful to do in order to improve it, the participants suggested that increasing the number of cars available and a more capillary information campaign would improve the knowledge of this measure, which is planned as part of the CIVITAS ARCHIMEDES project in Monza.
