Host the next Annual CIVITAS Forum in 2017

The Civitas City Host 2017 call for application is now open!  

The CIVITAS Secretariat hereby invites European cities interested in hosting the CIVITAS Network’s next annual Forum conference in 2017 to submit an application.

The CIVITAS Forum Conference is the annual flagship event of the CIVITAS Forum Network of cities, as well as a very important conference in the urban mobility field. The event typically takes place in the autumn of each year, with the 2017 conference serving as the 15th such annual meeting, following forums hosted in Gdynia, Ljubljana, Casablanca, Brest, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Funchal, Malmö, Krakow, Bologna, Kaunas, Burgos, Nantes, Rotterdam and Graz, where the series started in 2003.  

As always, the conference gathers CIVITAS Forum city network representatives and European politicians on the one hand, and experts in the field of urban mobility on the other. Typically, around 400 persons attend the event, which offers significant visibility to the host city to demonstrate and share success and achievements in the field of clean and sustainable urban transport.

European cities interested in hosting the CIVITAS Forum Conference 2017 should read the guideline available in the download area and submit an application by email to the CIVITAS Secretariat at the following address: Secretariat [at] civitas [dot] eu , “Application for 2017 CIVITAS Forum Conference” should be placed within the subject of the message.

The deadline for the application is the 16th JUNE 2016
 

Upon receipt of your Application, the Secretariat will confirm the reception of the application.

Applications will be reviewed by the CIVITAS Political Advisory Committee (PAC) against the criteria outlined in the guidelines. Besides the quality of the proposal, other considerations such as geographic balance in event location will also be taken into consideration.  A decision will be reached by consensus.

The results of the selection process will be communicated to the winner city and to the applicants by mid-July 2016. 

The CIVITAS Forum Conference 2017 host city will be announced at the closing session of the 2016 CIVITAS Forum in Gdynia on the 30th September 2016.
