Great success of PK with national media campaign about the carpooling system

Krakow University of Technology (PK), holder of the measure 9.2 “Carpooling system in Krakow” in CIVITAS CARAVEL has made a comprehensive national press, television and radio campaign to raise awareness of the Polish citizens about the carpooling system introduced at PK. The biggest success of this campaign is that one minute information about PK’s carpooling activities together with explanations how the system works was presented in the main newscast of the most popular private television in Poland - TVN. Average audience of that newscast is 5 million viewers!!!

Krakow University of Technology (PK), holder of the measure 9.2 “Carpooling system in Krakow” in CIVITAS CARAVEL has made a comprehensive national press, television and radio campaign to raise awareness of the Polish citizens about the carpooling system introduced at PK. The biggest success of this campaign is that one minute information about PK’s carpooling activities together with explanations how the system works, was presented in the main newscast of the most popular private television in Poland - TVN. Average audience of that newscast is 5 million viewers!!! Moreover, the measure team (Tomasz Kulpa and Ola Mirek) gave a life interview with the same topic in the TV programme “Good Morning TVN”, which is also one of the most popular in TVN television. A press article concerning the system which starts it’s operation at the University within a couple of days was published on the local pages of the very popular national newspaper “Gazeta Wyborcza”. Also a radio interview was given in the national Radio Zet (three afternoon newscasts). News were presented in that way, that the innovative Carpooling system is in the implementation phase at the Krakow University of Technology (PK) and that it, after getting popular in the city, could be a solution to decrease the amount of motorized traffic on the streets.
