General Assembly of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities

The European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) will held ist General Assembly on 21 May in Berlin (Germany) at the Metropolitan Solutions Fair.

The EIP-SCC is Europe's key initiative to create a common Market Place for Smart City solutions, bringing together transport, energy and ICT. The morning session will convene high-level speakers from city halls, companies and the European Commission to discuss achievements of Smart Cities in Europe, actions to increase synergies between policies and funds to boost demand and good practice to create solutions that meet cities’ and citizens’ needs.

The event will be opened by Violeta Bulc, European Commissioner for Transport. The morning session is free to all participants of the 2015 Metropolitan Solutions, but pre-registration is required by 8 March 2015.

The afternoon is reserved for meetings of the action clusters of the EIP, including the action cluster on sustainable urban mobility. They will offer participants the opportunity to network and promote joint actions.
