European Green Captial 2018 & European Green Leef 2017 announced
The finalist cities to advance to the next stage of the European Green Capital 2018 and 2017 European Green Leef competition have been announced.The European Green Capital Award is geven each year to a European city with an established record of high environmental standards. The Commission also lauched the search for the 2019 European Green Capital and 2018 European Green Leaf Awards.
The European Green Capital 2018 finalists are:
- 's -Hertogenbosch (the Netherlands)
- Nijmegen (the Netherlands)
- Umeä (Sweden)
The European Green Leaf 2017 finalisists are:
- Galway (Ireland)
- Mikkeli (Finland)
