ECCENTRIC well presented in CIVITAS Forum 2018

The annual meeting of the CIVITAS Initiative took place under the slogan “Mobility for U and Me” from 19 to 21 September 2018 in Umeå, Sweden. Over 400 participants from cities and municipalities, organisations, NGOs, companies and different initiatives from all over Europe gathered in the Northern Swedish city  for three days of interesting speeches and presentations, hands-on site visits around the town and most important - networking with other colleagues.

Over 400 participants from cities and municipalities, organisations, NGOs, companies and different initiatives from all over Europe gathered in the Northern Swedish city  for three days of interesting speeches and presentations, hands-on site visits around the town and most important - networking with other colleagues.

ECCENTRIC was represented by different partners in numerous sessions and the project also hosted a stand including newly produced fact sheets about some of the most progressed mobility measures. In addition to the presentations, Mr. Martin Schreiner from Munich represented the CIVITAS ECCENTRIC PAG in the CIVITAS Politicians Forum and brought in goals, relevant topics and outcomes of the PAG and the project. The meeting outcomes are also part of the official PAC statement 2018 which is delivering policy recommendations to the European Commission.

Finally, during the closing session of the Forum, the ECCENTRIC project received acknowledgement by the EU Deputy Director General for Mobility and Transport, Matthew Baldwin.

The next CIVITAS Forum 2019 will take place in the city of Graz, Austria.
