CIVITAS MODERN video teaser in run up to CIVITAS Forum 2012
The time has come to give you a "MODERN" feeling. We are launching our video teaser to share with the CIVITAS community what the MODERN Consortium is working on in preparation for the CIVITAS Forum 2012 in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
During the four years of CIVITAS Plus, communication has developed very fast and social media has exceeded all expectations. In this context, MODERN is investing in a suite of video clips to enrich its use of the conventional media and foster integrated communications. Videos are a powerful tool that attracts more attention to your content than traditional hard copy tools. A picture is worth 1,000 words but when you add audio to it - the effectiveness is boosted even more. Quick and effective to convey a message, video helps to raise brand awareness by attracting a wider audience. Video production is generally cost-effective and the impact can potentially be viral - these are important reasons for selecting video as a communication means in the web 2.0 era. Since the beginning of CIVITAS Plus, MODERN has valued an inclusive approach to create and cultivate relationships, which must be based on two-way communication. Indeed, stakeholder engagement activities have always been considered strategic for the success of the different measures in Craiova, Brescia, Coimbra and Vitoria-Gasteiz with the aim to enhance widespread participation. For MODERN communication means listening, understanding, creating commitment and changing behaviour. In a nutshell: Dissemination means engagement. Many means of communication have already been explored to achieve these objectives. Some with better results, others have proven to be less effective. MODERN is convinced that videos are one of the more effective communication means and the project decided to increasingly work with it as part of dissemination activities. Uploading a video online should help the consrtium get closer to the people, their preferences and their feelings. CIVITAS MODERN wants to share emotions with you!
