CIVITAS MIMOSA at 2nd World Social Marketing Conference
InteractionS, dissemination communication managers for MIMOSA, exhibited and presented CIVITAS MIMOSA at the World Social Marketing Conference in Dublin in April 2011. Attended by more than 500 international experts in social marketing both from the private and public sector, the event proved to be a great platform in disseminating news about CIVITAS MIMOSA’s mobility behavioural change strategies and results. Even the Dalai Lama was spotted on the conference premises!
On the first day, Interactions Managing Director, Eileen O’Connell took to the floor to give a presentation on Innovative Behavioural Mobility Campaigns from Knitting Graffiti (Tallinn) & Car-Sharing (Utrecht). The Interactions stand displayed two large CIVITAS posters focusing on CIVITAS Initiative and behaviour change communication measures in Utrecht & Tallinn. Leaflets on CIVITAS, MOVE newsletters, MIMOSA seeds, CIVITAS wall charts and memos were handed out. Reaction to CIVITAS presentation and activites to date was extremely postive with a notable amount of attendees having heard of the CIVITAS Initiative while for many it was their first time in contact with the programme. As for the presence of the Dalai Lama, well he just happened to be staying at the same conference hotel!
