CIVITAS Initiative launches brand new website

CIVITAS Initiative

The EC’s CIVITAS Initiative is pleased to present to you the revised CIVITAS website! Still available at www.civitas.eu, the new website comes with a fresh look and feel.

The redeveloped website boasts a more intuitive design and navigation, giving you better access to a wealth of information. As before, and even more so, the website acts as a platform for the exchange of information, case studies and good practice on sustainable urban mobility. It is a portal to everything related to CIVITAS, such as general information about the Initiative itself, work results from the participating cities or contact information to get in touch with the right people to exchange information. The entire site has been restructured, redesigned and edited. The newly created ‘mobility solutions’ section elaborates on the approach and philosophy of CIVITAS. It provides a portal to the results of the CIVITAS research and demonstration activities and is an entry point to demonstration measures. CIVITAS “on the road” informs you where the next CIVITAS event is taking place while a registration form allows users to stay informed about CIVITAS achievements and to receive MOVE, the CIVITAS Initiative’s quarterly newsletter. The resource centre (which can be reached by navigating through “mobility solutions”) provides access to the wealth of CIVITAS publications and documents. The third sub-section under “mobility solutions” is a city-to-city marketplace that features past and upcoming CIVITAS study tours. The networks section presents the different communities that are a vital part of the Initiative: the CIVITAS Forum network, the national networks and the thematic groups. The latest EU legislation and policy in the field of sustainable transport can be found on the policy context page. The utilities bar at the bottom of the page is another new function, which includes among other features a site map and a feedback form. Take a browse around the site and send us your comments through this new feedback form, so we can continuously improve the site! We are looking forward to receiving your feedback, The CIVITAS team
