CIVITAS CARAVEL Genova Info Mobility Bus
In Genoa on November 20th, the CiViTAS-CARAVEL INFOMOBILITY BUS was inaugurated. This hybrid bus was transformed into a mobile information centre on active transport services in the City of Genoa The centre distributes information and collects comments and suggestions from citizens in a visitors' book. This initiative, within the CiViTAS-CARAVEL Mobility Forum measure, has been possible thanks to IIC - ISTITUTO INTERNAZIONALE DELLE COMUNICAZIONI, who conceived and projected the bus, the Municipality of Genoa, AMI and AMT.
The CIVITAS CARAVEL InfoMobility Bus was inaugurated on Monday, 20th of November, with an official ribbon cutting ceremony undertaken by the Mobility and Transports Councillor of the Municipality of Genoa, Arcangelo Merella, the President of AMT, Bruno Sessarego and the Managing Director of AMI, Marco Vezzani. People could get on the bus and directly ask the IIC (Istituto Internazionale delle Comunicazioni) staff and the Municipality officers for information. A book was available on the bus, to collect suggestions, needs and comments on public transport and mobility in the town. In the afternoon, the Italian Minister of Transports, Alessandro Bianchi, visited the CiViTAS-CARAVEL InfoMobility Bus and was informed of the CiViTAS-CARAVEL project by the Project Coordinator, Vito Contursi.
