Children in Brno learn that graffiti spraying is a crime

CIVITAS Initiative

Pupils of basic schools Vídeňská and Želešice in Brno, who attended the exhibition “Vandalism in PT” on 9 March, were given a lecture on vandalism by Linda Škrancová, spokesperson for the Brno Public Transport Company.

Škrancová talked about how expensive it is to remove graffiti and scratches from the PT vehicles and how much the repairing the damaged vehicles and the other property costs. She also explained to the pupils that graffiti spraying anywhere but on the “legal surfaces” is a punishable crime. During her lecture she showed the pupils the work of “professional” writers who create on legal surfaces. Pupils of both schools then watched the movie clip about CIVITAS project and browsed the exhibition.
