Call for CIVITAS Forum 2007
Burgos was the host city of the CIVITAS Forum 2006. Currently the CIVITAS Initiative launches a call for applications to select the city that will host the next CIVITAS Forum conference. Thus, enthral Europe with your beautiful city, your innovative ideas, let them see for themselves the success of your measures. We encourage you to submit your candidature to host the CIVITAS Forum 2007 until 30 November 2006.
Cities are the centres of Europe's economy, but are faced with ever increasing transport problems. Innovative solutions for urban transport are required, and CIVITAS is central to a reorientation of urban transport policy for cities both at political and practical levels. The CIVITAS Forum provides the platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences between the CIVITAS demonstration cities as well as other cities that are committed to introducing ambitious, clean urban transport strategies. Cities participating in the CIVITAS Forum benefit from the shared expertise of Europe’s most advanced cities in the field of urban transport.The final selection will be done by the CIVITAS Policy Advisory Committee by mid December.
