Brno engages with disabled citizens to improve transport facilities

CIVITAS Initiative

On 18 February a meeting took place between Brno transport company DPMB and disabled citizens in a centre for disabled persons.

DPMB and representatives of the disabled discussed new minibuses which have been introduced as part of the CIVITAS project, special lines for the handicapped, as well as other topics related to the making travelling as easy and safe as possible for wheelchair bound disabled persons. The discussion was fruitful for both sides.Information and opinions were exchanged and as a result DPMB will implement certain small scale changes to the operation of special lines (mostly stops and route changes).
