The Hague (Netherlands)

The Hague is a city of 554,000 inhabitants, located in the province of South Holland in the west of the Netherlands. It is the seat of the National Government and the third largest city in the country after Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Thanks to the well managed public transport, the city only faces serious traffic congestion on sunny weekends for the beach visitors.

The city is growing in terms of people, jobs, housing and tourism. This causes great challenges in the upcoming decades. If the city is to remain livable, accessible and safe, the city needs to change the way the mobility system is functioning. This is why The Hague is working on a transition towards a futureproof and city friendly mobility system.
